6705 Heron Pt / West Bloomfield MI

Spouse: Debby

Children: Andy / Ben

Education:  Oakland University, BA Biology / Oakland University, BS Computer Science / University of Michigan, Ann Arbor MBA

Bio: After completing by degree in Biology, I was qualified to play drums in a country rock band for 2.5 years. My next step in growing up was to work as a bartender, go back to school and marry Debby Galvin. I went to work for Chevrolet as a computer operator while attending school and was laid off in the recession of 1979, after buying our first house 2 months before. I fairly quickly found a job at Burroughs Corp and stayed there for 37 years. At Burroughs I was a programmer, then a project manager, and eventually worked for the US Government business,as PM, PMO lead and proposal writer. Burroughs (then Unisys) paid for my MBA, and allowed me to travel in Europe, South Africa and Brazil. My wife and I raised our 2 boys, living in Birmingham and Bloomfield Township. Burroughs/Unisys laid me off in 2017 at age 65, but I was not ready to retire. I became an active member of the Great Lakes Chapter of the Project Management Institute and eventually found a position working for the Michigan Supreme Court State Court Administrative Office. I couldn't be happier. I should have joined them years ago. My wife and I live in West Bloomfield, and we have a cottage in Waters, Mi (just south of Gaylord). I enjoy, walking, bicycling, sailing and playing drums (occasionally get together with former classmates, Tom Hollyer, John Daldin and Chris DiPolo). Life is good and seems to get better with age (inspite of Covid19).
