Bio: While attending Albion College, I met my future husband, and we were married in 1977 in Birmingham. He was attending Wayne State Medical School at the time. I worked at KEI (Kmart Enterprises, Inc.) and the Observer & Eccentric Newspapers until 1981 when we had the first of our three children. I was a stay-at-home Mom devoting my time to our children's schools, our church (First United Methodist Church, Birmingham), and the P.E.O. Sisterhood (a philanthropic educational organization for women). We are blessed with four grandchildren who all live within a half hour of us. We spend some of the long Michigan winter in Sanibel Island, Florida and strongly recommend the advantages of retired life.
