Bio: A summer resort job on Cape Cod during my college years, introduced me to my husband, Walter, when I established a goal to move east to live on the shore. My dream to become an educator began, fall of 1974, New London, CT, until married in 1976 and relocating to MA. Here, I learned the excitement of the business world and Walter and I relocated five times while I pursued a passionate career in health care marketing and business development. Engaging the industry from three perspectives; health insurance, group purchasing and hospice, our family took on the last three relocations as opportunities to learn the home building process.

Our son, Yuri, born in 1989, is the bright spot in our lives, and is now well-entrenched in the marine industry, on Cape, installing electronics in big boats and Captaining the committee boat for Performance Handicapped Racing Fleet (PHRF) races here on Buzzards Bay.

Serving on local boards has provided lasting friendships, especially in youth and adult sailing/racing focused on instilling a lifetime love of the sport. Nothing spells “freedom” or invigorates like being on the water, whether crewing in small one-design fleets or big boat races.

We embrace our environment here on Cape each day. In the warm months; sailing, boating, beach, fishing, & clamming. The fall brings on the cranberry harvest, and brisk oystering. The beauty of a New England winter is classic with native holly filling our homes. Spring? We have no spring, so try to head south.

This reunion prep with Woody & the team has included many re-connections with friends that have brought hours of incredible catch up from 50 years ago. I’ve loved every minute and so look forward to seeing everyone when we shed Covid-19 and celebrate our 50th together as we should. Cheers!
