Bio:
After Seaholm, I headed to Ann Arbor to major in Engineering (along with Seaholm alums Dave Benedict and Clark Bell). After B-School, went to NYC to working in investment banking for 17 years. Our three kids were all born there! Then to Boston for several more years in the finance industry. In 1995, I got the opportunity to go to Europe and work with the Virgin Group to set up a low-cost European airline called Virgin Express. London for one year, then off to Brussels where we baced the new company. The kids attended the international school in Brussels and are fluent in French (not dad!) In 2000, we decided to come back and settle in the San Diego area - a place I had always wanted to live.
For the past 20+ years, I worked for several start-ups and had a did consulting in the finance and aviation industries.
I developed a late-in-life passion for cycling and raced road bikes and mountain bikes for 15 years.
In December, I turned 70 and hung up the spurs for good. Enjoying more serene activities now - golfing, woodworking & travel and spending time with my four grandkids. We had a big family reunion ski trip Utah in March to celebrate my 70th, my son's 40th, and my son-in-laws 45th birthdays. The grandkids are starting to ski circles around gramps!
I have not been back to Birmingham for 30 years and I look forward to seeing everyone this July.
