Spouse: Mike Curtis
Children: Tyler / Dylan
Education: Michigan State University, BA, Spanish
Bio: While at MSU I studied in Spain for a year at the University of Sevilla. It was here where I discovered I loved to travel. When I returned, I got my teaching credential and moved to Traverse City where I taught Spanish at the Interlochen Arts Academy. I met my husband in Traverse City but the blizzard of '77 was enough to drive me out west to San Francisco where the sun was shining. Unfortunately, there were zero teaching jobs anywhere so landed in the computer industry where I soon found my niche as a project/program manager. I worked for all sorts of companies most of which are no longer around. Sperry Univac, Wang, DEC, Tandem, and Sun Microsystems before ending my career at Kaiser (Technical Campus). During this time we had 2 sons. After spending the better part of 30 years attempting to bring order to chaos and meet impossible deadlines, I happily retired. I like to say it was the best decision I ever made!
We love traveling and biking in the beautiful vineyards of our hometown and spend time with our 5 (soon to be 6) grandkids as often as possible. I get to swim, bike, and hike to my heart's content and love it.
I have lost contact with all my high school friends as my parents moved to N. Carolina right after I went off to college so I am looking forward to reconnecting!
