Bio: Practiced mixed animal veterinary medicine (dogs, cats, farm animals) in Pinconning, Michigan immediately following graduation, then moved to Rutland, Vermont where I have lived ever since.
Married Richard Crowley (surgical supply rep for Smith, Nephew, Richards). 4 years later, had two children: Ben, currently 37, married and owns a pet supply business in Rutland, The Pet Cage. Shawn, 36, Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, Chief of Terrorism and International Crime, lives in Brooklyn. Can you tell I'm proud of them?
I bought and ran the 6 person veterinary practice I joined, The Rutland Veterinary Clinic, and practiced until I retired at age 60. Our Vermont home is a horse farm, on which we have raised a variety of pets including ducks, geese, chickens, goats, cows, etc and continue to own and ride dressage on my warmblood mare.
We travel to Jupiter, Florida November-May so that I can indulge my riding passion and my husband can ride his bike year round. I miss Michigan, although I travel back to Harrison. Michigan where I visit my brother Mark, and catch up with Sue Boynton Abbott but wish I lived closer to my friends from Seaholm. I learned through my absence that nothing matches those friendships.
