Education: 1974 - B.A. from Michigan State University / 1977 - Juris Doctor from University of Arizona

Bio: After law school (and the Arizona bar exam), I moved from Tucson, Arizona to Houston, Texas to be a trial lawyer. I practiced criminal defense and civil trial work for a firm in Houston and by 1980 started a solo practice, emphasizing criminal defense and personal injury. I built a law firm of 7 lawyers by the late 90s, then reverted to a solo practice in 2005. My practice has allowed me to handle cases in numerous state and federal jurisdictions, including California; Colorado; Wyoming; Michigan; New York; Florida; Louisiana; New Mexico; Arizona and Texas.

I was married for 20 years and after getting divorced have stayed single. My primary avocation is traveling and I have visited more than 70 countries. My secondary avocation is fishing. I still visit Birmingham frequently and have since graduation. It was a great base to start my life's journey.
